Postdoc | Human Technopole, Milan
Build the science that shapes the future of human health.
Application closing date: 05.06.2026
Join a place where ambitious science thrives
Human Technopole (Milan) is a rapidly expanding life science institute where international researchers and cutting-edge technologies converge to accelerate biomedical discovery. Our mission is to transform bold scientific ideas into advances that improve human health.
Within this mission, the Vannini Group combines cryo-electron microscopy, mass spectrometry, single molecule measurements and cxell biology approaches to elucidate the role of multi-subunit macromolecular machineries involved in genome function and organization. In particular, we are interested in understanding at the molecular level how non -coding gene transcription machineries, auxiliary transcription factors, chromatin remodellers, SMC complexes and transposable elements affect genome structure.
We are seeking an ambitious, highly motivated Postdoc with a strong interest in structural and functional characterization of large multi-subunit complexes, using integrative approaches. Previous expertise in structural biology or, in alternative, biochemistry of SMC complexes is essential. We encourage international candidates to apply and will support applications to external Postdoctoral fellowship schemes (EMBO, Marie Curie, HPSF, etc.).
Your mission
- Conduct research, develop innovative methods and tools, and ensure accurate documentation of activities.
- Generate high-quality data, maintain proper records, and contribute to writing scientific manuscripts.
- Publish results and present findings at conferences, seminars, and workshops.
- Train and support students and junior staff, while collaborating with internal and external researchers.
- Plan and manage experiments and data analysis in line with the research group’s objectives.
Grow your skills
Postdoctoral researchers engage in cutting-edge research in the life sciences, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and utilizing advanced technologies to contribute to impactful scientific publications.
