Human Technopole now seeks to recruit one Scientific Project Manager in support of the operational activities of the National Facility for Structural Biology, National Facility for Light Imaging and the National Facility for Genome Engineering & Disease Modelling.
Your mission
Project Coordination & Scientific Project Management
- Coordinate and oversee scientific projects from proposal development to completion, ensuring alignment with scientific objectives, timelines, and strategic priorities.
- Translate scientific goals into structured project plans and roadmaps.
- Monitor milestones, deliverables, and feasibility, and support reporting and follow-up activities.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among facility staff, users, research groups, and internal departments.
Administrative, Financial, and Grant Management
- Support operational processes and resource coordination to ensure smooth project execution.
- In collaboration with Finance and Grant Offices, monitor project budgets and expenditures.
- Contribute to pre-award and post-award activities, including grant applications, reporting, and funding opportunity scouting when needed.
- Liaise with internal operational units to ensure efficient workflows.
Agreements, Ethics, and Compliance
- Coordinate ethics approvals, access procedures, and sample-related documentation.
- Manage MTAs, DTAs, and collaboration agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Collaborations, Stakeholder Engagement & Information Management
- Coordinate collaborations with internal and external stakeholders at national and international levels.
- Act as a liaison between researchers and administrative offices;
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure effective dissemination of project-related information.
Training and Operational Support
- Support training activities, onboarding, and access processes for users and collaborators;
- Develop and maintain operational and user-facing documentation.

In this role, you will develop hands-on experience in coordinating scientific projects within a national and international research environment, working closely with researchers, facility managers, and operational teams. You will gain a solid understanding of project management, stakeholder engagement, and the operational processes supporting large-scale research infrastructures.

What you'll bring
Essential
- Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field or relevant experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex research projects within a life sciences environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other office management tools.
- Familiarity with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in scientific research activities.
Preferred
- Ph.D. is a plus, particularly for candidates with extensive experience in research project management.
- Expertise in handling strategic collaborations with national and international organizations.
- Expertise in financial administration, grant costing, and budget management.
- Expertise with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Relevant certifications in project management or equivalent are a plus.
Organisational and social skills
- Strong organizational and operational planning abilities
- Porven ability to menage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively
- Knowledge of budget planning, grant management, and reporting processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholderengagement and team coordination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.

Salary: up to € 50.000,00 depending on the candidate’ seniority.
