HT’s National Facilities (NF) Access Access Office is responsible for managing the access of external Users to HT’s National Facilities, including through the coordination of the Convenzione’s provisions in terms of identification of national community needs, publication of open calls for access and evaluation of user access requests, by supporting the Standing Independent Evaluation Committee (SIEC).
The NF Access Specialist plays a pivotal role in enabling the operations of the User Access Office, supporting the development and implementation of access procedures to HT’s National Facilities.
Your mission
The role is focused on preparing and opening calls for access, providing support to users and evaluation committees, and contributing to the visibility and effectiveness of the National Facility offer. The new colleague will foster interaction with the scientific community ensuring the smooth execution of research access projects. Main responsabilities are:
- Coordinate the relevant activities for the design, publication and promotion of open calls for access to the National Facilities, acting as interface with the National facility staff.
- Draft and update guidelines and related documentation for applicants.
- Manage open calls for Access and application portal,
- Liaise with the other stakeholders (NF staff, expert reviewers) to ensure that all steps are properly executed and that deadlines are met.
- Provide helpdesk support during the application phase.
- Oversee and streamline operational processes to ensure that requests for Access are efficiently managed, in compliance with internal procedures.
- Assist with the evaluation process by supporting the Standing Independent Evaluation Committee (SIEC), organizing review meetings, providing reports and managing related communications.

- Ensure effective communication with Facility Heads.
- Contribute to the development and use of tools for tracking access usage and assessing the scientific and operational impact of National Facility activities.
- Contribute to outreach initiatives, meetings and training activities to promote the National Facilities and collect feedback from the scientific community.
What you'll bring
Essential
- Master’s degree in life sciences or related fields
- Relevant work experience in academic or life science institutions
- Familiarity with peer-review processes and scientific project management
- Familiarity with core facility services
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
Preferred
- PhD in a relevant field
- Fluency in Italian
- Experience in a funding agency
- Previous involvement in research administration, access procedures or core facility services
- Experience in managing the submission and evaluation of scientific projects.
- Knowledge of the Piattaforma Integrata Concorsi Atenei (PICA).

Salary: up to € 46.000,00 depending on the candidate’ seniority.
